After the Rain

Regen ist dem passionierten Bergwanderer an sich nicht willkommen. Die Gipfel sind in den Wolken, die Wege schlammig. Aber wenn sich die Regenwolken zurückziehen, wabern im Nachgang skurile Wolkenfetzen durch die besonders klare Luft. Ein Fest für den Bergfotografen.
Die folgenden Bilder wurden im Engadin der Schweiz aufgenommen.

Passionate hikers don't like rain. The peaks are in the clouds, the  trails are muddy. But if the rain clouds disappear bizarre parts of clouds move through the clear air. A festival for the mountain photographer.

Doel

Doel ist ein sterbendes Dorf nahe der belgischen Hafenstadt Antwerpen. Der expandierende Hafen frisst das Land und die Dörfer. Graffitikünstler halten einige Häuser besetzt und nutzen die leerstehenden Häuser und Ruinen für ihre Proteste.

Doel is a dying village near the seaport of Antwerp (Belgium). The expanding harbour eats the country and the villages. Graffiti artists occupied some houses and use die empty houses and ruins for their protests.

Für mein Fotodokumentationsprojekt habe ich die Teilentsättigung als Fotostil gewählt, weil ich denke, dass so der Kontrast zwischen den farbenfrohen Graffitis und der Tristesse eines fast verlassenen Dorfes am besten zur Geltung kommt. Leider war das Wetter an diesem Tag viel zu gut.

For my photographic documentation I selected the style of partly desaturation, because I think it is the best way to show the contrast between the colored graffitis and the tristesse of a abandoned village. Unfortunately this day the weather was to good.
